Le travail de Chloé Lepine se situe dans la continuité du color field painting, laissant de côté l’opposition fond/forme de la peinture pour justement faire de ses formes le fond de sa peinture. Piochant dans le vocabulaire des formes de Kandinsky, lui-même s’étant largement inspiré de celles issues de la  géométrie, Chloé construit un espace dont les bords ne sont en rien la finalité de celui-ci.

Au contraire chaque forme se répétant dans une infinie variation de tons et de couleurs, nous assistons à une approche que l’on peut retrouver dans l’art abstrait musulman dans lequel l’unité est la structure de l’infinité, la forme le début d’une autre forme et l’espace défini par les différentes structures architecturales se trouve être la continuité d’un motif dont l’espace reste toujours indéfini.

Chloé Lepine's work is in the continuity of color field painting, leaving aside the opposition between the background and the form of the painting to make her forms the background of her painting. Drawing from Kandinsky's vocabulary of forms, himself having been largely inspired by those of geometry, Chloé builds a space whose edges are in no way the finality of it.

On the contrary, each form repeating itself in an infinite variation of tones and colors, we witness an approach that can be found in Muslim abstract art in which unity is the structure of infinity, the form is the beginning of another form and the space defined by the different architectural structures is the continuity of a motif whose space always remains undefined.
